(All Small Animal Boarding, UK)
Rabbits and guinea pigs are housed individually or in bonded pairs within large wooden hutches located in an air-conditioned shed.
Optional infrared heat lamps are available during colder months for house pets.
Each animal or bonded pair is housed separately and will not mix with other guests.
The facility contains 10 hutches: eight large and two smaller, which are used for single rabbits or guinea pigs.
All rabbits must be fully vaccinated against Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD) at least two weeks before boarding, with at least one month remaining before the booster date.
A copy of the vaccination certificate must be emailed at booking and brought on check-in.
On arrival, boarders will receive a basic health check.
Spot-on treatment and toenail trimming are available upon request (see price list).
ASAB reserves the right to refuse any animal showing signs of illness or parasites.
A £100 refundable emergency vet fund must be left on drop-off.
If your pet becomes unwell and cannot be treated on-site, ASAB will seek advice and treatment from a qualified veterinary professional.
By boarding with ASAB, you authorise us to seek veterinary treatment on your behalf as deemed necessary.
Any veterinary fees exceeding £100 will be payable by the owner on collection.
Transport to and from the vet is charged at 35p per mile plus £12 per hour.
Owners will be kept informed of any veterinary care provided.
In the event of a death, ASAB will notify the owner immediately to discuss final arrangements.
ASAB accepts no liability for illness, injury, or death except where caused by our negligence or failure to provide reasonable care.
No refund or replacement pet will be provided.
All pets are boarded entirely at the owner’s risk.
ASAB is not responsible for any pet becoming pregnant during boarding.
Animals from different households will never have direct contact.
If bonded pairs show signs of aggression or harassment, ASAB may separate them for safety.
Additional accommodation costs will apply if separation occurs.
Newly bonded pairs must have been together for at least three months before boarding.
While every care is taken, bond breakdowns due to environmental stress are the owner’s responsibility.
Owners must provide sufficient dry food for the duration of their pet’s stay.
If food runs out, an additional charge of £0.50 per pet per day applies.
ASAB will provide hay, fresh vegetables, and water daily unless otherwise requested.
Collection and drop-off are by appointment only:
Monday–Friday: Appointment only between 8am–6pm
Saturday: Appointment only
Sundays & Bank Holidays: By prior arrangement only.
Lateness fees:
30 minutes late (without notice): £10
1 hour late: £20, and appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Missed appointments or late arrivals that disrupt our schedule will incur a £20+ fee.
Pets must be collected on the agreed date. Failure to do so without prior arrangement incurs £15 per day/night per hutch.
Agreed extensions are charged at the standard rate and subject to availability.
During peak periods, extensions may not be possible, and the emergency contact must collect the pet.
Late collection may result in the pet being moved to a smaller hutch if fully booked.
On collection, all outstanding balances must be settled in cash or via bank transfer.
If ASAB has received no contact from you or your emergency contact for 10 days after the agreed collection date, and all reasonable attempts to contact you have failed, ASAB reserves the right to rehomed your pet at its discretion.
All funds held will be forfeited.
All incurred expenses and fees up to the rehoming date remain payable.
Legal action may be taken to recover unpaid amounts.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at booking.
Deposits cover administrative and preparation costs and are therefore non-refundable.

High season: Balance due 7 days prior to stay.
Minimum booking fee: £60 (covers disinfecting and preparation).

ASAB is fully insured for home pet boarding, grooming, and transportation through Protectivity Insurance (Policy No. 44900196383).
